I was born in central New Jersey in 1997. As a child, I developed a medical disorder related to the autonomic nervous system, which affected my life in just about every way. I was misdiagnosed with epilepsy and undiagnosed for another five years, undergoing constant medical testing. At thirteen, I was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), a result of Dysautonomia. I experienced much isolation and confusion, on top of severely debilitating symptoms every day.
At the same time, I experienced the regular trials and tribulations of childhood. I enjoyed sports, nature, writing, and playing with friends. I suffered from the natural growing pains of adolescence, and perhaps had already possessed the sensitivity that would later nurture my art.
My art first began in the form of poems. I enjoyed English in school and especially creative writing. By high school, I became interested in visual arts, which led me to study filmmaking at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts.
I learned new forms of art there and made friends who changed my life. Since graduating, I moved to Los Angeles, California. I continue to write, photograph, and make art.
